Last week, the Board of Education attended the Colorado Association of School Boards annual convention in Colorado Springs. During the conference members were able to attend breakout sessions around state policy, school finance, process improvement, planning, mental health, and more. The Board finds this conference to be a worth-while professional development opportunity to network and learn new skills.

Elementary Christmas Family Night: Please mark your calendars!! The next Family Night has arrived. We will meet in the gym on Tuesday December 19th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Staff and students have been learning how Christmas is celebrated in the following countries around the world; France, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Israel, and Mexico. At the event, families will be able to construct a craft and taste test a treat from each country. This could very well be the best Family Night we have had so far this year, so please gather your family members and plan to attend.

Prowers County has begun the process of updating the county’s current Master Plan (a.k.a Comprehensive Plan). The county is trying to inform the citizens of Prowers County about the Comprehensive Plan update and encourage citizens to engage/participate in the update. Check out their flyer.
