With much talk on the state and national level about covid 19 and the omicron variant I wanted to communicate further on how Wiley School District will continue to react to the virus.
We will continue as we have been, in person with school as normal. Students and staff are welcome to wear a mask if they would like to but they are not required. We do ask that if a student is ill that they stay home.
If someone has contracted Covid, we will use the most recent guidance from the CDC. If a student or school personnel has Covid then they are to remain at home for five days. The clock starts from the onset of symptoms. After five days, if symptoms are decreasing and they have no fever for a period of 24 hours, then they are allowed to return to school.
If you have additional questions or need further clarification please contact me at the front office.
Thank you.
Mr. Bollinger

The bathrooms in the weight room will be out of order for the next week. You will still be able to access the equipment.

Because of staffing shortages, due to illness, Wiley Schools will be moving to remote learning for the rest of this week. Elementary students can pick up iPads Tuesday morning from 9-10am. Students will be expected to complete 20 minutes of Lexia and iReady daily and your teachers will be communicating further through Class Dojo. Junior high and high school students will access their school work through Google Classroom. If students need to get any supplies out of their locker, they need to do this on Tuesday morning between 9-10am.
We are still planning to compete in our scheduled games and practices will run on the following schedule: HS varsity volleyball -- 12:00-1:30pm T-Th, HS football -- 3:00pm - when finished T-Th (Friday will depend on coaches), JH girls basketball -- 2:00-4:00pm T & Th, JH boys basketball -- 2:00-4:00pm W.
Game schedule for this week:
-Friday varsity Volleyball in Kit Carson @ 5pm
- Saturday varsity Volleyball in Wiley @ 4pm and Football @ 7pm
Our hope is that we will be back on Monday, should that not be the case we will have a more comprehensive schedule moving forward.
